"Waar kunnen we uw theorie vinden?" Mensen vragen me vaak na een lezing over natuurinclusief ontwerpen. Deze gids is het antwoord op die vraag ", zegt Maike van Stiphout in de introductie van" De eerste gids voor natuurinclusief ontwerpen ". "Met de projecten die ik in mijn leven realiseerde, heb ik de wereld een beetje veranderd. Ik ben de dochter van een bioloog, die landschapsarchitect werd met liefde voor de natuur. De steden en hun ecosystemen heeft me altijd geintrigeerd." Landschapsarchitecten ontwerpen al met stedelijke ecosystemen. Het is tijd voor architecten en stedenbouwkundigen, opdrachtgevers en de bouwsector om mee te doen. Natuurinclusief ontwerp leidt tot een betere levenskwaliteit voor alle wezens. De kennis die door de jaren heen is opgedaan, wordt gekristalliseerd in een compacte, praktische theorie waarin je drie regels volgt om een project meer natuurinclusief te maken dan wanneer deze regels niet worden opgevolgd. Een gemakkelijke start voor beginners. En omdat we nog maar net zijn begonnen met het bouwen voor biodiversiteit, noemen we het de Eerste Gids. Wie is de volgende?
